I have just started reading ISO 32000, and I have a newbie question. Is it feasably possible to add a layer to a pdf page? Specifically, what I want to do is programatically, in a custom application, markup pages with drawing and text content with a "labeled" layer. Any page could have more than one layer, and layers could be selected by its label and viewed or printed with its corresponding page. The source documents will usually, but not always, be autocad drawings that may already contain layers from the source.
