Convert a Chinese Word Document to PDF --- Characters are missing!

Hi, another question. Today I converted a Word document (Chinese) into a PDF, but the result was depressing. Quite a few Chinese characters were missing from the PDF document that i created. Could anyone help me with this?
BTW, the hard print of that Word document looks all right.
