Swf in PDF does not play on MAC

We create a PDF(programatically) with SWF embedded in it. Now when the pdf is opened: the SWF plays fine when played on a windows machine but it does not plays (when the PDF is opened) on a MAC. Do you know what could be the reason? Any help will be a big help.
