Hotlinks in PDF

I'm creating a Word document with hotlinks, and I would need them to be active when I convert from Word to a PDF document. Links that are in the document will the "www" are active and will link me to the site, but links that are active in the Word document but do not have the "www" in front of it in the PDF document do not are not active.

So for example "www.adobeforums.com" would be active in the PDF, but "Adobe Forums" (with www.adobeforums.com embedded as a hyperlink) is not.
